Hello people.

I have about 50 years until I retire ( 14 years old now) so i just made myself an IRA. I want to get some stocks so over the 50 years the dividends can compund, and make the ira grow, also the stocks will split over a 50 year period.

I am starting off with a goal to get this by the end of the summer…
$500.00 into FMAGX
$250.00 into GE
$250.00 into ABT
$750.00 into DGAGX

Does anyone know of any good stocks/ mutual funds that would be good to have in my ira for the next 50 years? Any comments about my goals for this year?

I am not too intrested in DGAGX i would like to replace that with a diffrent mutual fund. Any suggestions?
I mow lawns, caddy, and claim income on that and on stock trades that I do make money on, i have to claim the stock trades.
